Paper submission process

Please submit your paper via EasyChair before registration:

Preparing and submitting your camera-ready manuscript 

  1. Your camera-ready manuscript has to be adjusted to all format requirements comprised in the template: HSI11_TemplateWord.doc. Before submitting final manuscript from EasyChair, you are requested to check the pdf-formatted file at

    IEEE PDF eXpress;

    Please be sure that you will receive an e-mail response from IEEE PDF eXpress to tell that the file has passed the PDF check.

  2. Please prepare an abstract with approx. 200 words AND one picture of jpeg/png/bmp format in gray scale with fine quality for printing, to introduce your study. The file size of the picture should be LESS THAN 500 kbytes.

  3. Zip the following four files
    • - IEEE copyright form,
    • - an e-mail response from IEEE PDF eXpress,
    • - 200 word abstract text,
    • - one picture in jpeg/png/bmp format
    into one file with the name of your paper number (for example, or

  4. Please upload the .zip file to the EasyChair site, by referring to the instruction presented in "Copyright page" by Friday March 18th, 2011. We do not accept any submission by e-mail or any other way.

How to use submission system? 

  1. Move to the Paper submission site : EasyChair
    If you have no EasyChair account, Please sign up for an accout.
    If you have already have an account, fill out your name and password to sing in.
  2. After sign in, click "New submission" link on the top menu.
  3. Select the appropriate track for your paper.
    • For Track Papers
      Please select one from track 1 to 7 as much as possible.
      Only the case that you don't decide your appropriate track, please select "Other General Papers".
    • The topics of each track are listed in the bottom of this page.
    • For Special Session (SS) Papers
      Please select "SS Paper", and click "continue".
  4. Fill out all necessary terms, and upload your paper(PDF file only ).

Paper format 

All papers must be in English, maximum 8 pages A4, even number of pages recommended. The papers must be in PDF format, character style: Times New Roman, text: 10 pt, two-column, single spaced, no page numbers. Other details are described in the templates.
